Dofe Award

Saturday morning at 8.00am, fifteen young people from St. Colm's departed for the Mourne mountains to complete their Dofe award.

Parents transported them to Donard Car park, Newcastle. The young people guided by Mrs Michelle Belaid, Mrs Colleen Scullion and Mr Raymond Cassidy started their qualifying assessment. The fifteen strong young people walked 30km through the mountains. They were fantastic. Strong both physically and mentally.

A big thank you to Niall Mowbury from the Education authority who assessed the young people over the 2 days.  A brilliant experience for both staff and the young people.
